Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WKND ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all users of the Platform, including:

Guests booking events, travel, and experiences

Ambassadors earning through referrals

Hosts listing stays and experiences

Vendors offering services

Promoters listing events

Venues partnering with us

Section 02

Eligibility

To use WKND, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age

Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements

Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable law

Provide accurate and complete registration information

By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

Section 03

Your Account

When you create an account on WKND:

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use

You may not transfer your account to another person

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

Section 04

Bookings & Payments

When you make a booking on WKND:

Pricing & Fees

All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise indicated

Prices include applicable taxes and fees where required

Service fees may apply to bookings

Currency conversion fees may apply for international transactions

Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe

You authorize us to charge your payment method for all amounts due

Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified

Refunds & Cancellations

Refund policies vary by event, host, and service provider

Cancellation policies are displayed before booking completion

Some bookings may be non-refundable

Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days

Trip Bundles

Bundle prices reflect combined savings

Individual components may not be refundable separately

Changes to bundles may incur additional fees

Section 05

Ambassador Program

If you participate in the WKND Ambassador Program:

Earning Commissions

Commissions are earned on qualifying bookings made through your referral link

Commission rates are determined by your tier and may change

Commissions are calculated after any refunds or cancellations

Payouts

Minimum payout threshold: $50

Payouts are processed monthly

You are responsible for applicable taxes on earnings

Prohibited Activities

Self-referrals are not permitted

Spam or misleading marketing is prohibited

Commission manipulation will result in account termination

Program Changes

We may modify commission rates with notice

We may terminate the program or your participation at any time

Section 06

Hosts & Service Providers

If you list stays, experiences, or services on WKND:

Your Responsibilities

Provide accurate listings and descriptions

Maintain appropriate licenses and permits

Comply with local laws and regulations

Respond to guest inquiries promptly

Honor confirmed bookings

Maintain safety standards

Fees & Payouts

Host service fees apply to bookings

Payouts are processed after guest check-in (stays) or event completion

Payout schedules vary by service type

Cancellations

Cancelling confirmed bookings may result in penalties

Repeated cancellations may result in listing removal

Guests must be notified immediately of any cancellation

Content Standards

Listings must not contain misleading information

Photos must accurately represent the property/experience

Discriminatory language or practices are prohibited

Section 07

User Conduct

You agree not to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Infringe on intellectual property rights

Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content

Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users

Attempt to circumvent our fee structure

Use the Platform for any illegal purpose

Scrape, data mine, or reverse engineer our services

Create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes

Interfere with the Platform's operation or security

Violations may result in immediate account termination and potential legal action.

Section 08

User Content

When you post content on WKND (reviews, photos, listings, etc.):

Your Rights

You retain ownership of your content

You grant WKND a license to use, display, and distribute your content

You may delete your content at any time

Content Standards

Content must be accurate and not misleading

Content must not violate others' rights

Content must comply with our community guidelines

We may remove content that violates these terms

Reviews

Reviews must reflect genuine experiences

Fake or incentivized reviews are prohibited

We do not edit reviews but may remove those violating policies

Intellectual Property

Our Intellectual Property

WKND, our logo, and branding are our trademarks

Our Platform, including design and code, is our property

You may not use our intellectual property without permission

DMCA & Copyright

We respect intellectual property rights

Report copyright violations to: legal@wknd.co

We may disable accounts of repeat infringers

Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer

WKND provides a platform for connecting users. We are not responsible for:

Actions or conduct of users, hosts, or service providers

Quality of events, stays, or services

Accuracy of user-provided content

Third-party services or websites

Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Some jurisdictions do not allow liability limitations, so these may not apply to you

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify WKND against claims arising from:

Your use of the Platform

Your violation of these terms

Your violation of any rights of others

Section 11

Dispute Resolution

Between Users

We encourage users to resolve disputes directly

Our support team can help mediate disputes

Decisions by our support team are final

With WKND

Please contact us first to resolve any concerns

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration

Class action lawsuits are waived to the extent permitted by law

Arbitration will take place in Michigan, USA

You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of account creation

Section 12

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time:

Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notice

Changes take effect when posted unless otherwise specified

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance

If you disagree with changes, you may close your account

We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

Section 13

Termination

By You

You may close your account at any time

Outstanding obligations survive termination

Some content may remain after account deletion

By Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations

We may terminate for prolonged inactivity

We may discontinue services with reasonable notice

Effect of Termination

Access to the Platform will be revoked

Pending bookings may be cancelled

Earned commissions will be paid according to our policies

Section 14

General Provisions

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA.

Entire Agreement

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and WKND.

Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, other provisions remain in effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce a right does not waive that right.

Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these terms. We may assign our rights.
